Once again you had two men who listened to each other, or were patient. This is another recipe that could have played out in a very angsty way, but it didn’t. I even think Percy wasn’t clueless and had a feeling Cal reciprocated his feelings, but he was too afraid to allow himself to trust it. I’m not sure if everyone picked up on it, but I thought it was blatantly obvious Cal wanted to be Percy’s family. It drove him nuts when Percy would talk about how everyone leaves him, and how he wasn’t ‘family material’. I especially thought it was sweet how Cal tried to hide his obvious need to take care of and protect Percy. I mean, they actually used the word ‘nemesis’, which to me implies more of a frenemy. I loved how snarky Percy and Cal were with each other, and I especially loved their fake annoyance. It was more like ‘pretend enemies admit their deep love for each other’, which ended up being really cute for me. Scorpio Hates Virgo‘s synopsis sounds like an enemies to lovers story, but it really wasn’t. With a little patience, heartbreak might be a thing of the past. Along with juggling new and surprising verbal grenades from Cal, and his burgeoning friendship with Gnomber9, Percy is starting to wonder if selling might have been the grief talking after all.

Lured into a game of Sherlock Gnomes, Percy finds himself hanging out with his neighbors more than might be considered healthy. They all want him to stay.Įspecially his nemesis, Callaghan Glover. They all seem to think some paint and new furniture will clean the emotional slate. Who in their right mind would keep the house that smells like all the hugs he’ll never have again? No, he’s entirely sure that selling his dead aunt’s home and leaving the neighbors he’s known for years is the sane thing to do. It’s time to leave negative attitudes and stoic facades at the door and let others see the real, more vulnerable you.
